My name is Jacob Hattaway, President of BlackRock Construction. Born and raised in Shreveport, I’m a proud graduate of Evangel Christian Academy and Northwestern State University, where I earned my degree in Industrial Engineering & studied my masters at LSU.

My journey in construction began in my teenage years as a general laborer. Over time, I worked my way up—from field engineer to Director of Operations—before founding BlackRock Construction. I’m truly grateful for God’s blessings along the way, including my amazing wife and three wonderful sons.

When I started BRC, my mission was clear: to build a company that stands apart by delivering unmatched quality while keeping costs as affordable as possible. Quality isn’t just a goal; it’s the foundation of everything we do.
